Clever online phrasing

  • We receive many CPR students frantically calling because they took a CAREFULLY WORDED online course claiming to "follow American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines" only to realize their certificate isn't worth the paper it's printed on! These very short online classes for minimal pricing are actually short-changing you.  Simply put, they took the basics of what AHA teaches and created their own standards for CPR and make it appear as though AHA has aligned with them when in fact, it ABSOLUTELY HAS NOT.   You may not be in compliance with your requirement for your particular licensure! Possibly your certification does not require an AHA Authorized card. ALL WE ASK FOR YOUR PROTECTION, IS PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LICENSING BOARD TO SEE IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF AUTHORIZED AHA CERTIFICATION IS ACCEPTED!

Online courses only offer the written portion. AHA BLS requires both demonstrated skills as well as the written portion in order to accept the certification as a valid one.  

The AHA is the "Gold standard" by which the ongoing research is funded, and thus up-to-date guidelines are set.  

In nearly all cases, Proof of certification will be available same a day upon successful class requirements and completion. 

Although your certification/license may accept an online only class, many of our healthcare professionals have stated our hands on learning approach has been more beneficial in preparing them for potential real life situations and were glad they chose to learn in our setting.
